One of my college sorority sisters is a reporter for Fox news in Portland - and she's always making funny quips on her facebook about the newscasters and the "titles" they assign every storm. This snow was so highly anticipated that when it fell a few inches short of expectations she labeled it "Anticippointment 2011". It made me laugh - but even with the lower totals the kids were anything but disappointed!
We went sledding, made snowmen, snow angels, built snow walls and had a girls against boys snowball fight, and enjoyed every bit of winter's last gift.
I got my birthday wish for snow! We came in for hot cocoa and lunch and the snow was already melting too much to sled, so we were thankful we took full advantage first thing in the morning.
